Dear colleagues,
the quality of the Scientific and Applied Programme of the Congress depends on the commitment and expertise of the reviewers. We want to invite you to register as a reviewer for the FEPSAC 2024 congress, no later than November 30, 2023.
Reviewers- KEY DATES
November 6, 2023: Reviewing early abstracts begins
November 30, 2023: Deadline for registration for reviewers
March 24, 2024: abstract revision ends
April 1, 2024: Notification of individual submission acceptance
Profile of reviewers
We are keen to recruit reviewers who reflect the diversity of FEPSAC in terms of geographical location, fields of expertise within sport- and exercise psychology, from academics, teachers, researchers and practitioners as well as the wider psychological and sport science workforce. We are also seeking postgraduate and early career experts to ensure representation from all stages of career.
FEPSAC encourage applications from the following groups of people who may often be under-represented within our field: Black, Asian and people from minoritised ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities and people who identify as LGBTQ+.
All submissions will be blind-reviewed by independent reviewers who are knowledgeable in the relevant subject areas in the Thematic Streams listed below. We want to support the scientist practitioner model and therefore all themes include scientific and applied abstracts. Scientific and applied abstracts can be submitted in one of the themes described above.
Reviewer qualifications
We seek active researchers and practitioners in the related field, which will be assigned on the basis of subject matter and disciplinary expertise.
Reviewer responsibilities
All reviewers are expected to evaluate their assigned abstracts within the predetermined timeframe, ensuring completion no later than eight months prior to the congress.
- Between November 2023 and March 2024.
- Return the review comments within two weeks.
Reviewers are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they are tasked with reviewing. Additionally, they should offer constructive feedback rather than simply accepting or rejecting submissions.
Review process
Reviews will be carried out using the congress online conference paper submission system. All reviewers will be supported and given further instructions by the Local organisers or delegated theme Chairs on the process. You can sign up as a reviewer in less than 5 minutes (see below). If successful, you will be asked to review submissions within your area of expertise to guarantee a high-level evaluation.
